FAQ

Is this course certified?

Yes, Affordable Eastlake Defensive Driving School is state-certified in Georgia and is recognized by all courts and DDS services throughout the state.

My probation officer said that the class has to be in person

The regulations have changed since Covid. There is a distinction between online and virtual classes. Online classes are typically not instructor-led and are not DDS certified. In contrast, we offer instructor-led, virtual classes that are DDS certified.

Do you offer remote classes?

Yes, our classes are conducted remotely, so you can participate whether you're in-state or out-of-state. Just be mindful of your time zone, as punctuality is crucial.

I live out of state.
Does this qualify?

Yes, if you are from out of state and need DUI/Risk Reduction or Defensive Driving/Driver Improvement courses for the state of Georgia, you’ve come to the right place. We are remote

How fast do I get my certificate?

As long as you submit all your paperwork on time, we issue certificates the same day!

Can I take the class on my smartphone?

Yes, you can! Simply download the free Zoom app on your phone—no sign-up necessary.

Can you send my certificate to DDS??

We can fax your certificate to DDS if you are out of state. Please send us an e-mail reply to your certificate requesting that we send it. Please allow DDS 5-7 business days to process your request.

Can I do other activities during class?

DDS enforces strict rules regarding attentiveness. You must be fully engaged and on camera for the entire class. You cannot be working, driving, or attending to other tasks during the session.

How do I register?

You can either register in office or register on the website. It’s easy!

Will I get a break?

All classes include a one-hour lunch break. You do not need to be on camera during your break.

Within 20 minutes you should receive a contract from DocHub. Please make sure your contact information is correct on your contract as we will be keeping in communication with you to ease the process.

When do I get my
Zoom link?

Upon finishing your requested paperwork, we will send Zoom links at 12:00pm EST the day before the class.
